immersive healing in a day

Day retreats

Our Sisters Heal day retreats offer a lovely middle ground between a single class or workshop and a full retreat.

We know women often have caring responsibilities and it isn’t always practical to attend a residential retreat.  We pack as much as we can into a fully immersive day so you can spend quality time dedicated to your healing and recovery.

Our day retreats are carefully curated therapeutic spaces designed to help you move from overwhelm into greater calm, clarity and connection.

The 1-Day Immersion, Saturday 5th September 2026

Held in the heart of Central Brighton, this intimate day combines evidence-based psychological therapy with embodied movement, giving you practical tools to regulate your nervous system and leave feeling more grounded. Our spacious venue has two private rooms for the morning and aftternoon sessions, a comfortable kitchen and a lovely roof terrace.

What to expect

10:00 – 12:00:
Group EMDR session

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a well-established therapeutic approach that helps the brain process difficult experiences and reduce emotional distress.

In a group setting, participants are guided through a structured protocol designed to promote emotional regulation without needing to share personal details with the group.

12:00 - 13:00
Lunch

Enjoy a freshly prepared vegetarian lunch, included in your ticket, with time to rest, connect with others or simply enjoy a moment of quiet reflection on the roof terrace.

We can cater for gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free diets.

13:00 - 15:00
Grounding yoga workshop

Enjoy a gentle and grounding yoga workshop focused on reconnecting mind and body.

Drawing on principles of body psychotherapy and trauma-informed movement, this session encourages you to cultivate presence, release tension and leave feeling centred and restored. No previous yoga experience is required.

What previous EMDR and yoga therapy participants say

“I felt that the EMDR really worked on the trauma is was focusing on. I liked the relaxed but yet structured approach. Also I really liked the way Gabriel continued to give positive encouragement throughout.”

“Sisters Heal made EMDR affordable and accessible to me. The group session offered a sense of solidarity with other women, without any undue anxiety or pressure to share. I felt in very safe hands. The process was challenging but very helpful.”

“I had heard of EDMR previously, but I’d never tried it.
Both Rosie and Gabriel were amazing. I felt really at ease and welcomed.
The session was broken up into the different sections and I was amazed at just how well EDMR worked.
I would definitely recommend this therapy to people who have suffered trauma.” -Elle

“I attended the six week yoga therapy course and it had such a positive impact on my mental health. I was a complete beginner but this didn’t matter.”

“Kate is an incredible teacher. She knows so much about how the body and mind are linked and the ways that the body can hold trauma. I am a CSA survivor and I appreciated how everything was invitation-based and that I could choose whether to have adjustments or not.”

“The workshop really helped my anxiety. Thank you.”

“Really good workshop. I felt in safe hands througout the day. The only criticism I have is that I didn’t want it to end. I felt like we were just getting started!”
