Kintsugi

We give women the opportunity to practise the Japanese art form of kintsugi by repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer. The cracks and repairs become a beautiful and integral part of the object’s history, turning the ceramic into a unique work of art that celebrates its imperfection.

Broken pottery reflect past trauma, struggles and vulnerabilities. The intentional repair with gold represents the process of emotional and physical healing.

We encourage women to embrace the scars from their past as symbols of survival and strength and celebrate the beauty of their healing and resilience.

Our therapists

Naomi

Psychotherapist | EMDR trauma spacialist | Yoga teacher

As a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, and practitioner of EMDR and clinical hypnotherapy, I bring a holistic and trauma-informed approach to healing.

My work is rooted in both Western psychological frameworks and Eastern mind-body traditions, drawing on the strengths of each to support meaningful and embodied transformation.

The body holds trauma, but also holds the wisdom and capacity to release it. Through gentle, integrative practices, I support women in reconnecting with themselves in a way that feels safe, empowering, and authentic.

With many years of experience, I approach every retreat and every individual with fresh eyes and an open heart, honouring the uniqueness of each woman’s journey.

My intention is to create a space that is respectful, nourishing, and deeply supportive of healing on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

The retreats are not about fixing or striving, but about listening, softening, and remembering what wholeness feels like.

Jane

Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist | Post Graduate MA: Trauma | EMDR & Somatic Specialist | BACP Accredited

With over 25 years’ experience in psychotherapy and a lifelong dedication to healing, my work is rooted in both professional training and personal transformation.

My own therapeutic journey began at 28, driven by a search for answers to deep emotional responses I couldn’t understand. Over time, I discovered I was living with complex PTSD caused by early trauma and attachment difficulties.

After decades of traditional talk therapy, I realised that simply revisiting the past was reactivating my trauma rather than releasing it. A major turning point came in 2013 during a period of profound personal change, when I was offered the role of host at the renowned Kali Yoga Retreat Centre in Granada, Spain as center manager and lead psychotherapist What I thought was simply work became a gift — a space where I could deepen my own healing while supporting others.

Through daily yoga practice, I began to experience my body in an entirely new way. It wasn’t about shapes or flexibility — it was about connecting to my inner space, stabilising my nervous system, and learning to feel safe in my own skin. The retreat also introduced me to leading therapists and a neuroscientist who helped me understand how trauma lives not only in the mind but also in the body and nervous system, looping in the brain as if the events had just happened.

This inspired me to train in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a method that desensitises the brain’s automatic trauma responses. For the first time, I felt genuine healing and recovery. Combined with somatic practices, this integration of neuroscience, EMDR, and body awareness enabled me to move beyond CPTSD — and now I bring this same approach to my clients.

For more than three decades, I have also been a committed Buddhist practitioner, guiding people into mindful, embodied awareness. My approach integrates mind, body, and spirit for deep, sustainable healing.

At this retreat, I will lead meditative somatic journeys to help you inhabit your body, connect with your energy, and meet your emotions with awareness. In our shared, safe space, I will also be available for one-to-one support whenever you need it.

I believe connection and understanding are half the journey, the rest is walking it together.
